Imran’s announcement to set up varsity in Chitral lauded

CHITRAL: The Vice-Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal, Upper Dir, Prof Dr Khan Bahadar Marwat, has appreciated the announcement of PTI chief Imran Khan regarding the establishment of a full-fledged university in Chitral.
In a statement, he said that Chitral falls in the territorial jurisdiction of SBBU, which has been playing a vital role in the promotion of higher education in the area.Despite facing a myriad of financial constraints, it has established its sub-campus in Chitral in 2011.
More than 400 students have already passed out from the Chitral campus of the university so far and almost as much strength is still studying there.To give a full-fledged university to the people of Chitral and fulfill their long cherished dream, the university has purchased 140 kanals of land in Syed Abad, Chitral, utilising the 100 million rupees fund granted by the provincial government, says the press release.
