RAWALPINDI: Senator Sirajul Haq, central ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), has said the incumbent government of PML-N has not been able to come up to expectations of masses and it seems that it cannot bear load of the heavy mandate given to it in 2013 general elections.
He was speaking at ‘Eid Milan’ party hosted in his honour by Rawalpindi chapter of JI here at Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club. He identified lawlessness, electricity load-shedding and unemployment has three major problems being faced by the country.
He said during meeting of the parliamentary leaders at the Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday, he also drew attention of the prime minister and other political leaders to these issues.
“I told the prime minister and other political leaders that without addressing these issues, we cannot move forward,” Haq said. He said he also maintained that instead of following politics of confrontation, the political leadership should now focus on plight of the masses.
