Bridge collapse cuts off 20 villages from Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD: A bridge collapsed near Sagar village on Sunday, disconnecting more than 20 villages to the city.
The bridge on Qadirabad Canal near Sagar village was constructed about 100 years ago and was in dilapidated condition for the last many years.
On the day of the incident, the bridge suddenly collapsed during the rain. As a result, 20 villages, including Bhiri Shah Rehman, Jahtanwali, Mangat Nicha, Ratta Dohtran, Kot Sajana and Chandar, cut off from the city. On information, DCO Muhammad Usman reached the spot and directed the Irrigation Department to restore the traffic through alternate route.
