CJCSC, COAS skip presidential address to parliament

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mehmood Hayat and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa were not present in the VVIP Gallery during the address of President Dr Arif Alvi to the joint sitting of the parliament due to their engagements.
General Zubair Mehmood Hayat is currently out of country, while General Qamar Javed Bajwa was engaged in already scheduled call-on from Saudi Military Adviser at the General Headquarters. However, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza, Chief of the General Staff, was present in the visitors’ gallery during the address of the president to the joint sitting.
