KARACHI: India’s home ministry on Monday issued clearance which will enable Pakistan’s four kabaddi players to get their visas for featuring in Pro Kabaddi League which started in different cities of India on July 18.
“Yes, the clearance has been given and we will try to send the players by Thursday,” Pakistan Kabaddi Federation’s (PKF) secretary Mohammad Sarwar told ‘The News’ on Monday.
Wasim Sajjad, Tehseenullah, Tariq Dogar and Nasir Ali will take part in the second edition of the league.
Sarwar said Kabaddi Federation of India (KFI) would look after Pakistani players following Shiv Sena’s threats a few days ago.
“I have talked to India’s kabaddi officials and they have promised to provide tight security to our players,” Sarwar said. The eight-team event will last till August 23.
