FAISALABAD: Commissioner Nasim Nawaz on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the FDT emergency ward at the DHQ Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner appreciated the role of the Faisalabad Development Trust (FDT) in the development and beautification of Faisalabad City and said that the office-bearers and trustees of the FDT were playing a pivotal role in the health and education sectors. He said that the project would be completed in the next four months at a cost of Rs 25 million. He said that 40 double beds would be available to the patients in the FDT emergency ward. He lauded the efforts of the FDT in helping the unprivileged students and poor patients.
FDT co-chairman Mian Shaiq Javed said that the trust had spent over Rs 120 million to grant stipend to the needy students and treatment of patients in different hospitals during the last four years. He said that the trust would now construct the FDT emergency ward in the Civil Hospital. DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Abdur Rauf and others were also present on the occasion.
