District administration keen to eliminate crime: DCO

BHAKKAR: The DCO Thursday said that the district administration is keen to maintain peaceful situation and eliminate crime in the district.
The DCO said this while presiding over a meeting of the District Peace Core Committee.
The DPO also attended the meeting.
The DCO was briefed on security plan during Jumatul Wida and Eid ul Fitr.
The peace body was told that Eid prayers will be offered at 344 important places and the district has been divided into three categories.
The body was told that 714 policemen have been deputed for security and police have also been deputed at bus stands and Railway stations to avert any mishap.
The members were informed that transporters have been asked to search passengers.
Meanwhile, the DCO imposed section 144 in the district Bhakkar during Eid ul Fitr.
In another directive, the DCO has directed the relevant authorities to achieve target of vaccination within the specified period of time.
