OKARA: Police on Monday arrested 12 narcotics dealers and recovered wine and narcotics from them in separate incidents here.
On a tip-off, Sadar Depalpur police raided at 43/D village and arrested Shahbaz and recovered 50 litres wine from him. The same police raided at 47/D village and arrested Gulzar with 20 litres wine. Haveli police arrested Hamid with 50 litres wine while the same staff arrested Shamshad Ahmad with 20 litres wine. The same staff raided at Mohallah Jandi and arrested Tariq with 30 litres wine while the same staff arrested Haidar from Grain Market with 20 litres wine. The police arrested Abdul Aziz with 25 litres wine. Haveli police raided at 46/SP village and arrested Muhammad Hafeez with 510 grams charas and nabbed Naseer Ahmad with 2,150 grams charas. The same staff arrested Amanat with 300 grams charas. Mandi Ahmadabad police raided on High School Road and arrested Fayyaz Ahmad with 550 grams charas while Ravi police raided and arrested Altaf Hussain with 510 grams charas. The police have registered separate cases.
