HAFIZABAD: The Anti-Corruption Establishment has booked five officials, including a superintendent, of the Education Department college wing on a charge of receiving bribe and preparing bogus order.
Superintendent Mirza Shamshad and four clerks Muhammad Saleem, Adnan Saeed, Muhammad Saeed and Farooq allegedly received Rs 180,000 bribe from Muhammad Ashraf of Madhrianwala village and recruited him as a Grade IV employee through bogus order. Through the bogus order, Ashraf was posted at the Government Murray College, Sialkot.
Later, Ashraf was transferred to the Government Islamia College for Women, Hafizabad, where it came to know that he was recruited through bogus order.
UC SECRETARY HELD: The Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a union council secretary on a charge of receiving bribe from a complainant.
In an application to the ACE, Waqas Ahmad of Alipur Road alleged that UC Kaleke Secretary Mudassar Ahmad was demanding Rs 5,000 bribe from him for making a computerised marriage certificate.
To it, Anti-Corruption Establishment circle officer Rana Muhammad Ramzan along with Magistrate Waseem Anjum raided and arrested the accused red-handed while receiving bribe from the complainant. A case has been registered.

HAFIZABAD: Five dacoits in Elite Force uniform looted a petrol pump at Tahli Goraya near here on Sunday.
The dacoits in Elite Force uniform came to the petrol pump and snatched a rifle and a pistol from gunman Muhammad Imran. They also snatched Rs 200,000 from salesman Muhammad Ashraf.
