OKARA: A police constable was electrocuted at Hujra Shah Muqeem on Sunday.
Police constable Nazir Ahmad parked his police van alongside a road near a tube-well to take bath in it. When he jumped into the tube-well, he received electric shocks and died as current was flowing in water.
APPOINTED: PPP Punjab president Manzoor Wattoo has nominated ex-MNA Ch Sajjadul Hassan as the PPP district president. The seat was vacant due to joining of PTI by Ashraf Sohna.
