Imran, a resident of Pakpattan, appeared before the DPO and informed him that accused ASI Tariq Khawar lifted him from his house three days ago and kept him in illegal custody at his private house at Depalpur. He told that the ASI demanded bribe from him for his release and threatened him to put him behind the bars if he failed to pay the bribe. At this, the complainant gave Rs 120,000 bribe to the accused ASI who later released him. At this, the DPO immediately directed the DPO office investigating officer inspector Afzal Khan to call ASI Tariq Khawar and submit inquiry report before him. The inspector after inquiry reported the DPO that the ASI was guilty. At this, the DPO got arrested the ASI on the spot and a case was registered against him.
