OKARA: Two motorcyclists were killed in an accident on GT Road on Friday.
Ahmad Ali, his brother Asghar and their friend Ali of Kot Nihal Singh were on their by a bike when a speeding truck hit their bike. As a result, Ahmad and Ali died on the spot while Asghar was shifted to DHQ Hospital in critical condition.
9 HELD WITH WINE: Police on Friday arrested nine bootleggers and recovered 181 litres brewed wine from them in separate incidents here.
On a tip-off, the police raided at Ghaziabad Colony and arrested Irfan Ali with 20 litres wine while the police arrested Shaukat Ali from Ghafoor Colony. Satghara police checked Ahmad Ali and recovered 40 litres wine. Sadar Depalpur police raided the house of Khalid Khan at Jasokay Dhon village and arrested him with 105 litres wine. The police have registered separate cases.
