NANKANA SAHIB: The Namaz-e-Janaza of Capt Kashif Goraya, who was killed in the Gujranwala train accident, was held at Nizampura village on Friday.
A large number of people, including Maj-Gen Fida Hussain, attended his funeral prayer. Later, he was buried in a local graveyard. An army contingent presented the guard of honour. Meanwhile, talking to newsmen, Irshad Goraya said that he felt proud to be the father of Capt Kashif.
FAISALABAD: Namaz-e-Janaza of Ch Muhammad Riaz, the driver of the ill-fated train, was offered in the Railway Colony here. A large number of people, including DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, RPO Muhammad Ehsan Tufail and CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar, attended the Namaz-e-Janaza. Later, Fateha was offered for the army officers and Jawans who were martyred in the train accident. Meanwhile, consoling with the family of Ch Muhammad Riaz, the DCO, RPO and CPO said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had directed them to convey his sentiments to the bereaved family.
