OKARA: Police on Wednesday arrested a fraudster here.
Accused Hameed of Christian Colony visited the DPO office and told the DPO that his daughter was abducted two days ago. At this, the DPO directed the A-Division police to register a case against the unknown abductors. On Wednesday, Hameed was presented before the DPO by investigation officer ASI Shafqat Amir and told him that the accused had received money from 93 persons fraudulently in his fake daughter’s abduction cases. The IO revealed that the fraudster had no daughter or niece which was checked though the Nadra record. Later, the DPO directed the office inspector establishment Tasawar Malik to re-verify the Nadra record immediately. After the report of Tasawar Malik, the accused was arrested while Sadar police registered a case against him under sections 420,468 and 471 PPC.
