‘Chakwal stronghold of PML-N’

CHAKWAL: Special Assistant to Punjab CM Malik Saleem Iqbal has said that Chakwal district is a stronghold of the PML-N as the party was serving the masses here for the last 30 years.
He was talking to media after enquiring the health of MPA Ch Liaqat Ali Khan at his residence on Wednesday. Malik Saleem Iqbal said that if coordination remains among the nine parliamentarians of Chakwal district, the PML-N would clean sweep in upcoming local bodies’ election, however, he feared if opposition parties get united, then there would be a difficult time for the PML-N in the district.
TRANSFERRED: Additional District and Sessions Judge Mrs Shabana Rasalat has been transferred to Lahore from here and no new additional sessions judge is appointed yet to hear those cases pending in her court.
However, her cases that were pending in her court were transferred to three other courts. Meanwhile, new TMO Mr Goraya has assumed his new office here. Earlier, former TMO Rashid Garmala was suspended by the Punjab government for corruption charges against him.
