CM Inspection team visits site in Jhang

JHANG: The Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team on Monday visited the site where three labourers had died while cleaning sewerage line.
The CM’s inspection team visited the area after CM Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident. The team not only inspected the site but also inquired about the details of the incident from the residents of Khaki Shah Road. The locals criticised the TMA and the district administration for their alleged criminal negligence and lingering the development project for the last five years.
The locals pointed out that construction work of the road and sewerage line was awarded to a local contractor five years ago, which could not be completed due to the political tug of war. It may be recalled that labourers, Nisar Ahmad, Haji Ahmad and Allah Ditta, residents of Jag Roshan Massan, were cleaning the TMA sewerage line when they died of suffocation.
