KASUR: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha Friday inaugurated the amino acid analysis laboratory at UVAS Ravi Campus, Pattoki.
The lab is established to maintain pace with the advancements in poultry and livestock feed formulations for accurate quantification of ingredients, especially the proteins and amino acids in diet.
On the occasion, the VC said the facility would be run on commercial scale to assist the feed milling industry of the country and conducting research in this import segment of animal science.
He said the lab is equipped with all necessary equipment required for the sample preparation.
ASI DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT: An ASI Friday died in a hit-and-run accident on Ferozepur road near Pakki Havalli locality.
ASI Muhammad Akbar of Mustafabad police station was coming to Mustafabad on his motorcycle from Kasur. When he reached near the Pakki Havalli area, a speeding car hit him, leaving him injured critically. He was rushed to DHQ hospital from where he was referred to the Lahore General Hospital where he died.
