GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court No-1 Judge Imtiaz Chaudhry on Wednesday remanded an accused in police custody for six days in a case of possessing literature of a defunct organisation.
The Anti-Terrorism Department produced accused Naveed Iqbal before the judge and sought his seven-day physical remand. However, the judge granted six-day remand.
Medical report confirms police torture

GUJRANWALA: A medical report has confirmed police torture on a man.
In a petition to Magistrate Imtiaz Ahmad, Adnan said that some policemen of Satellite Town police station entered his house and allegedly tortured him. To it, the magistrate ordered medical examination of the victim, which proved police torture on him.
Daska lawyers killing case

GUJRANWALA: The Daska lawyers killing case came up for hearing before the Anti-Terrorism Court No-2 judge here on Wednesday.
The judge allowed appointment of lawyer Shahzad Mazhar as the defence counsel and adjourned hearing for June 27 for arguments on an application of accused Shahzad Warraich for removal of sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Former inspector Shahzad Warraich had allegedly killed two lawyers.
