Woman commits, four others attempt suicide in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A woman committed and four others attempted suicide in different incidents here.
Janat Bibi, a resident of Chak 154/JB, committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills after quarreling with her husband Muhammad Aslam. Meanwhile, Naghma (20) of Chak 122/RB, Sufia Perveen of Chak 279, Zainab Sarwar of Latif Chowk and an unidentified girl of Chak Jhumra tried to end their lives over domestic disputes.
MURDER MYSTERY RESOLVED: Police have resolved a blind murder mystery by arresting an accused.
Khalil Ahmad of Narwalal worked in a local mill. He had disappeared about five months ago. Police started hectic efforts and arrested Qasim Ali on suspicion. During interrogation, the accused confessed to killing his friend Khalil Ahmad. On his pointation, police recovered the body of Khalil.
