Six fined for overcharging

DASKA: Assistant Commissioner Sohail Ahmed Tuesday fined five shopkeepers on the charges of overcharging during a surprise visit.
On a tip-off that some shopkeepers were busy in overcharging, the AC fined Sajjad, Iftikhar, Muhammad Owais, Mehmood Ahmed and Imran Rs 3,000 each.
GIRL KIDNAPPED: A 15-year-old girl was kidnapped in the city area on Tuesday.
Daughter of Maqsood Ahmed was going to bazaar when Shams and his accomplices including a woman abducted her.
RAPE ATTEMPT: A woman was assaulted sexually in the area of Sadr police on Tuesday.
(N) was present at her home when Ayub and his accomplices entered the house and tried to rape her. The accused fled when she raised a hue and cry.
GOLD STOLEN: Two woman thieves stole gold from a shop on Tuesday.
Reportedly Rehana Bibi and Shahbana Bibi entered shop of Amir Hussain and stole gold ornaments. City police arrested the women after registering a case.
