Sindh offers best medical facilities to its people: Bilawal
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said Sindh offers the best medical facilities for patients from the province as well as from across the entire country, and stressed the need for more effective measures for the prevention of epidemic and transmittable diseases.
He was speaking at a briefing on health issues by the Sindh government at the Bilawal House on Monday. Those present at the briefing included Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Minister for Health and Population Welfare Dr Azra Pechuho, Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Murtaza Wahab and officials of health Department.
Bilawal was informed that a network of NICVD (National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases) hospitals in upper, lower and middle parts of the province were providing round-the-clock state-of-the-art facilities to patients from all the four provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He directed that the best possible medical facilities should be made available to the people at their doorsteps despite reduced federal fund transfers to the province as health had been given a top priority by the PPP in its election manifesto.
