Man strangled for ‘honour’

HAFIZABAD: A man was strangled while her beloved was seriously injured by her father and husband for honour at Mohallah Sharifpura on Friday.
Qaisra Bibi had contracted marriage with Qamar-uz-Zaman with the consent of her father Muhammad Ayub some years ago. The couple had four children from the wedlock. Later, Qaisra allegedly developed relations her relative Akhtar Ali. On the day of the incident, Akhtar came to the house of Qaisra to meet her where her husband Qamar and father Ayub allegedly strangled him. The accused also injured Qaisra. Police have registered a case after arresting the two accused.
BODY FOUND: A headless body of a man was found from Jhang Branch Canal near Wachhoki on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122, some unidentified people chopped off the head of a man and threw his body in the canal. Police are investigating.
