Woman killed, eight injured in Kasur accidents

KASUR: A woman was killed and eight others were injured in two road accidents here.
In the first incident, a van was going to Allahabad from Kasur when one of its tyres burst near Khudian Khas on Depalpur Road and the driver lost its control. As a result, the van turned turtle, injuring Sarwar, Karamat, Javed, Aziz, Waseem and Bilal. In the second incident, Asif, his mother Hameeda Bibi and cousin Allah Ditta were on way home from Pattoki when a trailer hit their motorcycle on Multan Road near Pattoki Bypass. As a result, Hameeda died on the spot while Asif and Allah Ditta sustained serious injuries.
BODY RECOVERED: Phoolnagar police recovered the body of an unidentified man near Phoolnagar Bypass on Multan Road.
According to police, the victim apparently died of heat stroke. Police sent the body to a city morgue and started investigation.
