HAFIZABAD: A butcher was murdered after abduction here on Tuesday night.
Muhammad Nawaz of Sadat Colony had a monetary dispute with Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Ashraf of Sagar Kalan. Arshad and Ashraf allegedly kidnapped Nawaz from his house and poisoned him. Later, his body was recovered.
On Wednesday, relatives of Nawaz staged a demonstration against City police by placing his body at Fawara Chowk. They accused police of not registering a murder case. The protesters dispersed when police registered a case against Arshad and Ashraf.
