KOHAT: The police have made foolproof security arrangements for the month of Ramazan to ensure the protection of life and property of the citizens during the holy month.
Special Control Rooms have been set up in the district police office and Rescue 15 Centre to coordinate and supervise the security arrangements in close coordination with mosque committees. According to the plan, special security arrangements are in place for the sensitive places of worship.
The mosque committees would be activated to ensure the internal security of the worship places and police personnel would also be deployed to ensure checking and body search of the persons through metal detector. The police have enhanced patrolling in Kohat city to ensure the safety of the citizens.
The district police officer ordered all the sub-divisional police officers to visit sensitive installations and assess the security arrangements. He directed all the SDPOs and SHOs to ensure the checking of hotels, inns, residential plazas and rental houses to collect data of the displaced persons from Orakzai Agency, North Waziristan and Darra Adamkhel. The DPO appealed to the ulema and citizens to extend full cooperation to the administration for maintaining peace and strengthening security arrangements.
