Five of a family killed in Multan roof collapse

MULTAN: Five members of a family were killed and two others injured in a roof collapse at Khawaja Gharibabad on Vehari Road on Saturday.
The house of Abdul Majeed’s neighbour was under construction. The labourers had put the construction material on the roof of the house of Majeed, which could not bear the burden and collapsed. As a result, Attiya Bibi, 50, wife of Fateh Muhammad, two-year-old Maham, daughter of Ramzan, 30-year-old Razia Bibi, wife of Ramzan, 50-year-old Sabra Bibi, wife of Abdul Majid, and three-year-old Areeba, daughter of Muhammad Rafiq, were killed on the spot while five-year-old Haider Ali and 30-year-old Abeela were injured. On information, rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured family members to the Nishtar Hospital. Seetal Marri police are investigating.
