Girl poisons father to death

FAISALABAD: A girl poisoned her father to death for prohibiting her from meeting her paramour at Mohallah Rasoolnagar on Saturday.
Ayesha Siraj had allegedly developed relations with Ali Ahmad. On the day of the incident, Ali Ahmad forbade his daughter Ayesha from meeting her paramour. It infuriated Ayesha and she allegedly mixed two dozen sleeping pills in a milk glass of her father, which caused his death. Ghulam Muhammadabad police are investigating.
CONVICTED: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar on Saturday awarded life imprisonment on two counts to Muhammad Akbar in a dacoity-cum-murder case.
According to the prosecution, the convict and two others had killed a man during a dacoity. Two other accused in the case had already been convicted.
DACOITS KILL BIKER: Two dacoits killed a motorcyclist and injured his friend on resistance here.
Muhammad Habib and Muhammad Riaz were on their way when the dacoits tried to rob them near Chak 406/GB but they resisted. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot Habib dead and injured Riaz. The injured man was shifted to the Civil Hospital. Tandlianwala police are investigating.
MAN ENDS LIFE: A man committed suicide over a domestic issue here on Saturday.
Allah Ditta, a resident of Chak 67/GB, ended his life by hanging himself after failure to reconcile with his estranged wife. Police took the body into custody and started investigation.
WOMAN MURDERED: A man killed his sister-in-law over a domestic dispute at Chak 70/GB, Thikriwala. Asghar Ali allegedly stabbed his sister-in-law Tasneem Bibi to death. Police have registered a murder case.
