Army march into basketball decider

ISLAMABAD: Defending champions Army reached the final of the Inter Departmental Basketball Championship 2019 after defeating Wapda here at the Hamidi Hall of the Pakistan Sports Complex on Saturday.
Army, who remained unbeaten in the pool round, outclassed Wapda 85-44 in the first semi-final.
Ammar Tughlab was the top scorer for Army with 18 points. M Shahbaz (17) and Farhad Khan (12) also played well. Aqib was the lone fighter for Wapda, adding 10 points.
Meanwhile in the Inter Divisional Championship, Sargodha beat Mardan 85-62, Fata defeated Mirpur Khas 75-55, Islamabad got a walkover win against Kohat and Rawalpindi lost 51-52 against Karachi.
