The ceremony was attended by the cabinet members, parliamentarians, members of diplomatic corps and the general public belonging to different walks of life. It was a rare gathering of distinguished and common people of the area. Maryam Nawaz who opted to speak extempore by discarding written text said that it was indeed the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to promote health and education facilities, to uplift socio-economic conditions of the masses. “Pursuant to this vision, the government has always encouraged such charitable projects,’ she reminded.
