PTI has disappointed people: Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq Friday said nation had always been deceived by rulers in the name of progress and prosperity and PTI’s case was not different.
The Present government increased masses’ problems tremendously by hiking prices of basic items and increasing unemployment, he said while addressing the participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora.
He said large number of ministers in the past governments had joined PTI government and were causing grave disappointment to masses. He said the nation had voted the PTI due to its slogan of “Tabdeeli” like it had voted for PPP’s slogan of “Roti, Kapra Aur Makan” or the Muslim League for its slogan of “Qarz Utaro, Mulk Sanwaro.” However, he said, the PTI had caused greater disappointment to the people than the previous rulers.
Sirajul Haq, who has recently returned from a four-week visit to Saudi Arabia, said overseas Pakistanis and their family members had voted for the PTI in large numbers. However, he said, these people had been worst hit by the PTI policies due to rise in the dollar price and devaluation of the rupee. He said the people in power were not competent enough to resolve the issues facing them.
He said enforcement of the Islamic system was the only way to solve the problems facing the nation and the country. As long as the rulers remained defiant to the system given by Allah Almighty they would have to bow at every door and face humiliation and failure.
He noted that the JI was the only democratic and progressive party in the country. Baloch: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch welcomed Islamabad High Court decision in the case of two Hindu girls from Ghotki embracing Islam for marrying the men of their choice.
He expressed hope that Hindu community would accept the verdict on the basis of fundamental human rights and allow the girls to lead their lives according to their free will.
He was talking to religious leader from Sindh, Pir Abdul Khaliq, popularly known as Pir of Bharchwindi Sharif, at Mansoora Friday. Baloch said Islam is the religion of nature and did not believe in coercion and anybody could return to nature anytime. He said all the minorities in this country enjoyed religious freedom and the Muslims respected the minorities as well as their places of worship. He said it was a matter of great satisfaction that the judiciary was taking decisions without yielding to any pressure.
He said Kashmiris’ boycott of the so-called Indian election had once again proved that they would never give up their demand for liberation. He demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan give top priority to the Kashmir issue in his tours abroad.
