LAHORE: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will meet former premier Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence today (Tuesday).
Maulana Fazlur Rehman reached Lahore late Monday night and briefly stayed at the residence of party leader Bilal Mir, from where he later went to the residence of his friend near Raiwind. According to sources, during his meeting with PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman will discuss the political situation and especially the possibilities of launching an anti-government movement.
He was already in contact with PPP co-chairperson and former president Asif Ali Zardari, who had announced to launch a long march to oust the PTI government. The Maulana wanted both Zardari and Nawaz agree to his suggestion of a sit-in at Islamabad’s D-Chowk, sources added.
