CHITRAL: The flash-flood damaged 10 houses and fruit orchards on several acres of land in Birzoz village in Yarkhun valley of Upper Chitral, locals and officials said on Friday.
“The flood water caused by snow melting marooned the village. At least 10 houses were destroyed and fruit orchards damaged,” a local resident said, adding, the people managed to reach safer areas before the gushing water hit the village.
The flood also damaged the main road, disconnecting the Broghil valley with rest of the district.
