PESHAWAR: Pakistan Kisan Mazdoor Tehreek Chairman Kamil Bangash on Friday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government of demolishing the huts of the poor people and evicting them without any prior notice.

Talking to reporters here, he said the so-called exemplary police of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was raiding the houses of poor farmers. He said that fake cases were registered against the arrested people.

Heavy machinery, he said, was being used to raze their houses to the ground.

Kamil Bangash asked the government to take notice of the injustice to the poor people, release the arrested people and stop the distribution of state land among the capitalists on lease.

He said he had been requesting the government to stop harassing poor farmers but to no avail.

Kamil Bangash said the so-called exemplary police force violating the sanctity of chadar and chardiwari.

He said the police arrested 15 innocent persons in Baghicha village in Tangi tehsil in Charsadda district and registered terrorism cases against them.

He deplored that the ancestral property of the poor people was being occupied through illegal means. He warned of protest if the injustice was not stopped forthwith.
