267 held in Mardan operations

MARDAN: The police have arrested 267 proclaimed offenders, 3,483 suspected criminals and 62 facilitators of different crimes, and recovered contrabands from them under National Action Plan during last month, stated the district police chief on Thursday.
Briefing the media, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sajjad Khan said that the police conducted several search operations in March and arrested the accused wanted by the police in cases of murders, extortion and kidnappings. The official added that the police also arrested 106 people in cases of aerial firing. He said that action had been taken against 209 people for poor security arrangements.
