Three shot dead in Faisalabad incidents
FAISALABAD: Three people were killed in separate incidents here on Monday. In the first incident, Surayya Bibi, a divorced woman, was allegedly shot dead by her brother Riaz Ahmad at Kilian Wala village for ‘honour’. In another incident, Munir Ahmad of Saifabad Township was allegedly shot dead by his younger brother Nazir Ahmad over a property dispute. In yet another incident, motorcyclist Haq Nawaz of Chak 187/GB Chak Jhumra was allegedly shot dead by seven armed persons near Sitara Chowk when he was on his way to Chiniot to meet his friend.
Meanwhile, a man committed suicide at Bokharian, Chiniot, on Monday. Athar Ali, who was recently married, ended his life by consuming poison over a domestic issue. Meanwhile, police on Monday booked 31 shopkeepers on the charge of manhandling and hurling threats to the police in separate incidents.
City police registered a case against 12 persons, including Saadullah. Rail Bazaar police also registered a case against 19 accused for hurling threats to the raiding party.
