HAFIZABAD: Seven persons, including five schoolchildren, were injured in an accident near Thattha Khairoo Mutmal village on Tuesday.
Irfan Ahmad and Ali Raza were taking students of a private school on their rickshaws when their rickshaws collided with each other. As a result, both rickshaw drivers and five students, including Zain Abbas, Ali Hassan, Irfan and Ali Raza, were injured. The injured were shifted to the Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
YOUTH KILLED ON ROAD: A youth died in a road accident near Qila Ram Kour on Tuesday.
Shahbaz Ahmad of Vanike Tarar was on his way by a bike when a speeding pick-up hit his motorbike. As a result, Shahbaz Ahmad died on the spot while the driver of the pick-up fled.
ELECTROCUTED: A man was electrocuted at Mumna village on Tuesday.
Munsib Ali, a local landlord and a father of four children, was busy working in his dera when suddenly his hand touched a naked wire of an electric motor. As a result, he received electric shocks and died on the spot.
OATH-TAKING CEREMONY: Office-bearers of the CPLC will take oath at the Circuit House on Wednesday (today).
DPO Shakir Hussain Dawar will preside over the ceremony while DCO Muhammad Usman and District and Sessions Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar will be the chief guests. The sessions judge will take oath from the CPLC members.
DACOITY: A dacoity incident was reported here on Tuesday.
Ali Ahmad and his sister were on their way by a bike when two dacoits intercepted their vehicle near Booaike village and snatched cash, gold ornaments and cell phones from them.
