The murder of two lawyers by an SHO in Daska has raised certain questions about the training standards and intolerant behaviour of the Punjab police. In recent years, we have witnessed many such incidents in which the Punjab police used their extra powers to please their bosses or to impose their authority on society.
On the other hand, lawyers too have started to bully anyone they can. Policemen and even judges are not spared. Police and lawyers are both custodians of the law. They should know that any clash between them will have negative effects on society.
