Six terrorists killed in Loralai, DI Khan operations
ISLAMABAD: Six terrorists were killed in intelligence-based operations in Loralai and Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday.
Four terrorists, including two suicide bombers, were killed when the security forces conducted a successful IBO in Loralai, Balochistan, as part of Operation Raddul Fasad, said an ISPR press release.
The killed terrorists included the mastermind of recent terrorist activities in Balochistan belonging to the proscribed TTP Loralai. The press release said the terrorists were responsible for recent terrorist activities in the province and the martyrdom of six Levies personnel on March 20 in Sanjwai, Ziarat.
In the early morning operation, the security forces cordoned off the area and terrorists opened fire and used grenades to impede the forces’ movement as they tried to flee. The four terrorists were killed by security forces during an intense exchange of fire. Cache of weapons, suicide jackets and heavy explosives, personal belongings including service cards and CNICs of Levies personnel martyred in Sanjwai were also recovered during the operation.
During the operation, four security personnel sustained minor injuries. In a separate operation, two terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with security forces in the Draban area of Dera Ismail Khan.
