Spring festival concludes in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A three-day spring festival ended in the district on Sunday with enthusiasm. Multiple events of festivity like horse-race, cattle shows, tableaus by children of different schools, and musical concerts were witnessed by the visitors. The participants of the competitions came from Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan provinces as well.
On the inauguration of the festival held under auspices of the tehsil municipal administration at Ratta Kulachi Sports Stadium, competitions ofdi, tent pegging were organised.
During the inauguration, MPA Faisal Amin Gandapur highlighted the significance of the festival. He stated the objective of festival was promotion of tourism, culture and providing entertainment facility to people of the region.
Dozens of elders including the parents and family members of the Wing Commander Nauman Ali Khan were also present. Nauman Ali Khan was the airman who recently shot down an Indian warplane. The family members of the pilot were honoured with gifts.
