Azerbaijan defence minister calls on COAS

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on Friday called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at General Headquarters (GHQ).

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation came under discussion, said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability. Earlier on arrival at GHQ, the Minister of Defence laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
