Tough contest expected for Mansehra bar president office

MANSEHRA: A tough contest is expected for the office of the District Bar Association president as all other office-bearers were elected unopposed on Thursday. “We have received nomination papers of two aspirants for the office of president and rest of office-bearers are elected unopposed,” Ayaz Khan, the election commissioner of District Bar Association, told reporters. The incumbent president, Basharat Ahmad Khan, whose current term is going to end on March 29, would face Amir Khan in the election.

A total of 750 members of the Mansehra District Bar Association would exercise the right to vote in elections scheduled to be held on March 30. Fahad Habib Tanoli was elected general secretary, Raja Sajjad Ahmad vice-president, Nisar Javed club secretary and Sabir Hussain librarian unopposed.
