Discrepancies detected in health organisations’ promotion cases

Islamabad : After learning about the detection of discrepancies by the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) in promotion cases, the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination has directed the capital city's major public sector health organisations to furnish all promotion cases of eligible candidates without delay.

In a letter separately sent to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Federal Government Polyclinic, National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, Federal Government Hospital, and Federal Medical and Dental College, the ministry pointed out that the DSB, which met on March 14, 2019, had found discrepancies in the promotion cases put up to it.

According to it, the qualifications of the candidates for promotion were not calculated in line with the devised formula of the Establishment Division; objective assessment form for marking appropriate score of the DSB was not furnished by hospitals, and cases were not properly flagged.

Also, all promotion cases of eligible persons were not submitted by the hospitals to the board, while enough time was not given to the health services ministry, Establishment Division, and Law and Justice Division to scrutinise the cases.
