Five people were killed in four incidents here on Sunday.
In the first incident, Kamran of Pakpattan along with Muhammad Ishaq of Lahore was coming to the City in a poultry van when six dacoits tried to intercept them near Chak Khirpa on Kasur-Raiwind Road but they did not stop the vehicle. It infuriated the dacoits and they opened fire on the van. As a result, Kamran was killed on the spot while Ishaq suffered serious bullet injuries. The injured man was rushed to the DHQ Hospital. Raja Jang police are investigating. In the second incident, Muhammad Babar reported to Pattoki police that his daughter Faiza had contracted marriage with Ijaz some years back. Ijaz was not happy with his first marriage and wanted to contract second marriage but Faiza refused. On the day of the incident, Faiza and Ijaz exchanged hot words with each other over the issue. Later, Ijaz allegedly stabbed Faiza to death. Police have registered a case. In the third incident, Jan Muhammad, Ghulam Mustafa and Asghar were going to Pakpattan from Lahore when a car hit their motorcycle near Jambar village. As a result, Ghulam Mustafa and Jan Muhammad were killed on the spot while Asghar suffered injuries. He was shifted to a hospital.
