Health cards distributed in Bajaur

KHAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Dr Hisham Inamullah on Tuesday said that the government was taking steps to provide better healthcare facilities to the people at their doorstep.

He was addressing a gathering at the Jirga Hall at the Civil Colony in Khar, the district headquarters of Bajaur district, to inaugurate the provision of the Insaf Sehat Cards to the local people.Member National Assembly Gul Zafar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Usman Mehsud, Director Health Dr Kalimullah Khattak, Assistant Director Health Dr Ashiq Afridi, District Health Officer Dr Wazir Khan Safi, Deputy Superintendent of District Headquarters Hospital Dr Azizur Rehman and others were present on the occasion. The minister gave away the health cards to 12 families at the ceremony.Later, the minister visited the Category-D Hospital in Mamond tehsil. The hospital which was inaugurated in 2016 has been closed since then due to the shortage of staff. He directed the officials concerned to make the hospital functional within three months.
