Nawaz getting more facilities in jail than he deserves: CM
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that Shahbaz Sharif Sahib still thinks the government of today works against the law, like his previous government. In his tweet, he said prisoners of the opponent parties were tortured in the past. “Instead of providing any medical facility, inhuman treatment was meted out to them. Unlike that, the PTI government provided facilities more than he (Nawaz Sharif) is entitled to as a prisoner. According to the jail manual, one weekly meeting is allowed which will definitely, be conducted,” he added.
He said the Punjab government would continue to provide all other facilities to him, according to the jail manual. “Our behavior will be better than yours,” he added.
Corruption: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that corruption has weakened the foundation of the country and corrupt elements are the nation’s enemies as Pakistan reverted back instead of moving towards prosperity. He expressed these views while talking to different delegations at his office here on Tuesday.
The chief minister said the PTI government had raised a strong voice against corruption and a policy of zero tolerance was adopted by the government. “The accountability of the looters is essential.
The scourge of corruption will have to be uprooted to let the country more forward and corruption would be eliminated under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he added.
He said the PTI had come into power with the agenda of eliminating corruption from the country and it had ensured complete transparency in the utilization of national resources. “There is no room for corrupt elements in the new Pakistan. National resources were mercilessly looted by the past rulers and state institutions were bankrupted due to corruption,” he added.
Usman Buzdar said that the PTI government was committed to ensuring transparency in every sector and the national image had been positively developed due to the solid steps taken for the elimination of corruption. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan could be credited for initiating different policies which had helped ensure transparency along with reducing corruption.
“People from different walks of life should lend a helping hand to the government for eradicating corruption and a new Pakistan will emerge under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he concluded.
GRIEVED: Usman Buzdar has expressed sorrow and grief over the death of Naseem Seemi, a famous folk singer. In a condolence message, the chief minister appreciated the services of Naseem Seemi in the field of singing and said that she had earned a niche in folk singing.
