Permanent system to clean urban, rural areas: CM

LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said a comprehensive system of cleanliness will be introduced in cities and rural areas on permanent basis under clean and green Pakistan campaign. This campaign is a praiseworthy initiative to provide a clean and hygienic environment to people.

children’s rights: On the directions of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB) has decided to initiate awareness campaign in far-flung and remote areas of the province.

In this regard, Chairperson, CPWB, Sara Ahmad will visit southern Punjab and in the first leg of her journey, she will visit child protection bureau, SOS children’s village and social welfare department in Multan today (March 19). After it, she will visit DG Khan on March 20th to initiate a public awareness campaign. She will lead an awareness walk besides addressing a local school and the college in Taunsa Sharif.

PSL: Usman Buzdar has congratulated the nation on the successful holding of PSL-4.

In a message, the CM said that peaceful Pakistan has won while the enemies of peace have lost. The efforts of line departments for successful holding the mega event are praiseworthy, he said. In fact, a new history has been written and the enemies of peace have been given a message that the enemy cannot scare them. The passion of Pakistanis is commendable, he said. It is hoped that sports activities will be restored in stadiums now. I am happy to witness the performance of Quetta and Peshawar players. Ehsan Mani has succeeded the PSL-4 with hard work and the whole world has realised that Pakistanis love peace and sports, he added.

The CM directed RPO to conduct a comprehensive inquiry. He said criminals should be brought to a court of law soon. Meanwhile, the police started an investigation by arresting three suspects.

transferred: The Punjab government on Monday issued notification regarding promotion, transfer and posting of 26 officers.

Six officers have been promoted from BS-19 to BS-20. Muhammad Sahfiq, Additional Secretary Housing, has been promoted to BS-20 and after the promotion he has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary Housing, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Allita, Additional Secretary Special Education, after having promotion to BS-19 has also been transferred and posted as Director Provincial Consumer Protection Council Secretariat, and Muhammad Tanveer Jabar, Additional Secretary Higher Education, upon promotion to BS-20 has been posted as Director Children Library Complex.

Moreover, Muhammad Akhtar, DG Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, Syed Tahir Raza Hamdani, DG Special Education, and Ashiq Hussain Aulakh, Director National Education Equipment Center (Schools Education), upon the promotion to BS-20 have been allowed to continue work on their existing positions till further orders.

Raja Muhammad Ashraf, currently at the disposal of Higher Education, has been posted as Additional Secretary Schools Education, while Commissioner Afghan Refugees Yawar Hussain was relieved by the Punjab government and his services have been placed at the disposal of Gilgit-Baltistan government for further adjustment. Khalid Mahmood, Secretary Colonies (Board of Revenue), has been transferred and posted as DG Katchi Abadis, Shahid Niaz (awaiting posting) as Secretary Colonies (BoR), Abdur Rehman Shah, Additional Secretary Schools Education, as Additional Secretary Special Education, Malik Salim, Additional DC (General) Okara, as Deputy Secretary Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education, Safdar Hussain Virk (awaiting posting) as Additional DC (HQ) Lahore, Zeeshan Hanif (awaiting posting) as Deputy Secretary Primary & Secondary Healthcare, Muhammad Shafiq, Deputy Secretary Schools Education, as Additional DC (General) Mandi Bahauddin, Rana Ziaullah, Section Officer Information & Culture, as Additional DC (F&P) Mandi Bahauddin, Col (R) Imran Yaqoob, Deputy MD Contract Employees Punjab Education Foundation, as Chief Executive Officer PEIMA, Deputy Secretary Finance Abdul Rauf, as Deputy Secretary Schools Education, and Additional DC (F&P) Muzaffargarh Abdul Ghaffar, as Director Recoveries Cholistan Development Authority. Special Secretary Housing Muhammad Khan Ranjah, Additional Secretary Schools Education Syed Sajjad Tirmizi and Additional DC (HQ) Lahore Amir Shafiq have been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD).

The provincial government has also approved ex-Pakistan leave of three officers including Additional Secretary LG Syed Mubashar Hussain, Additional Secretary Security & Coordination (Energy) Umar Jhangir, and Additional Secretary LG (Regulations) Khalid Habib.
