LAHORE : UMT President Ibrahim Murad called on Turkey’s Ambassador in Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul at his office in Islamabad.
According to a press release, the UMT President apprised him of progress and achievements of the university. He emphasized that Pakistan and Turkey should take initiatives to promote literacy.
Ibrahim Murad appreciated Turkey for providing scholarships to Pakistani students and expressed his best wishes for the educational pursuits of Turkish organisations in Pakistan. "President Erdogan is considered to be the moral compass of the Pakistani people as he declared Pakistan “home away from home," he added. While expressing his thoughts, the Turkish ambassador appreciated UMT in its service to the nation in the field of education. "Closer ties and people-to-people contact between the two countries is the need of the hour to foster bilateral relations," he said.
