Pak ‘A’ beat Iran in U-21 Beach Volleyball

KARACHI: After losing to China in their opener Pakistan ‘A’ created ripples when they defeated Iran 2-0 on the opening day of the Asian Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championship which exploded into action at the Thailand city Roi Et on Friday.
Iran, a strong volleyball nation, failed to offer more tough resistance to Pakistan, having their two top players Afaq and Zarnab who have a load of experience in international circuit. The set score was 22-20, 21-13.Earlier Pakistan ‘A’ lost to China 0-2 in their opener. Similarly, Pakistan ‘B’ lost to Singapore and Indonesia both their matches. On Saturday (today) Pakistan ‘B’ will face Oman.
