Speedy work on hospital in Bahawalpur ordered
LAHORE: The Punjab government, on the instructions of the chief minister, has ordered speedy establishment of a children's hospital in Bahawalpur with the support of a Korean agency of development.
The government has requested the Korean team to come immediately and start work on this project.
The children's hospital project, which is of utmost importance to the residents of Bahawalpur and adjoining areas, has been facing delay and neglect for the last two years.
The 235-bed state-of-the-art children’s hospital will provide intensive care to neonates and children besides general and specialised health care to children of Bahawalpur and adjoining area. A special unit is being created in Planning and Development Board for monitoring for timely implementation of the crucial project for the development of South Punjab.
