Bilawal to meet Nawaz in Kot Lakhpat Jail tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit former prime minister Nawaz Sharif tomorrow (Monday) at Kot Lakhpat Jail to inquire after him.
Bilawal sought permission from the Punjab government to visit Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Saturday, but after getting permission from the Punjab government, the date was rescheduled for tomorrow (Monday). Bilawal will be accompanied by party leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira, Mustafa Khokhar and Jameel Soomro. The meeting is scheduled between 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Qamar Zaman Kaira had submitted a request to the Punjab Home Department on behalf of Bilawal on Saturday. “It would be appreciated if you could kindly manage this visit for today (Saturday),” it read.
Mustafa Khokhar expressed concern on the attitude of the government for not providing medical facilities to Nawaz Sharif. Three days back, Bilawal had also expressed concern on health of Nawaz Sharif.
According to sources, Bilawal may pursue Nawaz Sharif to agree to shift in hospital for his medical treatment.
